Sometimes life gives you lemonade when you didn’t even have lemons. Complexion products have always been a love of mine since I believe the base is the the pivotal foundation of any makeup look (no pun intended). When Fenty Beauty graced the industry with a glimpse of what a fully inclusive shade range looked like and made it mainstream it seemed like it couldn’t get any better; but just when you start to get comfortable she did it again by not only dropping out products to round out your complexion routine but also expanding her already extensive range. I was able to get my hands on the new concealers and picked up a new setting powder as well. Lets dive right in and I’ll give you my thoughts.
The concealers mimic the same packaging as the foundations, they have a flat doe foot applicator that makes putting it on a bit easier. The frosted glass gives it a air of sophistication but makes it a tad hard to gauge the shade inside. The powders have a metallic topper but the inside contains a FB shiftier, I would have liked to see a stopper to prefect too much powder fall out.
Formula / Shade Range
The formula itself is very creamy… it reminds me of the NARS concealer and goes on very opaque but is very lightweight and super bendable. The concealers compliment the foundations so there are a whopping 60 shades available. The powders were finely milled and very lightweight on the skin. There are many shades and options available for all your different setting needs.
While I loved the expansion and the foundations I had a hard time finding my true shade in the range… since the original launch many companies have started expanding and it is easy to find a true match even in the drug store… over all the shades are impressive and the quality if there… I was unable to find a setting powder match but the shade I did use was very nice on the skin over all the collection gets a 4.5/5 from me.
So I have been going through my files since this year is nearing its end and I stumbled upon these pictures I took while the weather still liked us and didn’t have its heart set on snow at the drop of a dime. Since the weather is nice and chilled out now it was fun looking back at some of the shots I took when I still thought it was okay to take the warm weather for granted. I am obsessed with this kimono and it has my favorite type of fish (that I can’t eat) Koi fish are so pretty to me and it is one of the main reasons I bought this kimono the instant I saw it.

Have you ever walked into a store and a garment caught your eye that makes you say… “your gonna be in my closet!”? … Welp that is exactly how I felt about this jumpsuit when I saw it hanging in the store. I instantly had a vision of this exact outfit and I knew I just had to have this jumpsuit to make this look come to life and to be honest I feel like a boss in this!
Remember when I said my days of buying palettes were over? Welp throw that out of the window… cause lately, I can’t get enough of them. My biggest hang up with palettes has always been that the shades haven’t always been usable and that I don’t get enough use out of them and they end up collecting dust in my makeup drawer. Well, this one is different because it’s a one-stop shop, not only can I use all the eyeshadow shades but it also has a face side that is very usable as well. It is the perfect travel palette and very compact.
I was really tempted to put a punny title to this review like ‘Let’s NYX This’ or something silly like that but I figured let’s be straightforward. I have been using both these two in combination for the last few weeks as my everyday makeup base and I really have been loving them together as a natural but flawless base.
I’ve seen this post around and thought I would take a stab at it. While I didn’t post as much as I wanted in 2017, I did have some personal favorites and figured I would do a round-up of the outfits that I really loved.
