I love a good eye shadow moment and I love when companies come out with customized quads with coordinating colors that cut down the time it would take to find colors that go together… its kinda like the paint by colors of your makeup routine. So when I saw the LA Girl Eye Lux quads I had to get some and try them out i put them in my big box o’ reviews and promptly forgot about them until now…6 months later. So without further ado lets dive right in shall we?
While I like the packaging because it is sturdy and encased in a thick plastic compact, it does seem a bit clunky. I like that they close firm and don’t have to worry about it accidentally opening up when stored away. I do have to note that if u have fake nail it can be a bit harder to open the compact to use.
The three shades I currently have are Tranquilized, Tropicalized, and Sensualize. I like the mate shadows and think they apply very smooth to the eye when placed over a primer. I was a tad disappointed with the shimmer shades as they didn’t swatch well but they did apply beautifully on the eye. Give more of a subtle glow and can be amped up when applied wet.
The shadows don’t disappoint they lasted on the eye well over 8 hours and had minimal creasing even with me having oily eye lids and suffering through peak allergy season.
