There’s always that one product that you tell your self you don’t need and you have no intention of ever using in your routine but then you use it and realize that not only were you missing out but you were missing out big time. Welp, that is exactly how I’m currently feeling about the Wet-N-Wild MegaGlo Hello Halo Liquid Highlighter, while it is definitely not what I expected when I started using it I welcome it in my routine.
Packaging
The Wet-N-Wild MegaGlo Hello Halo Liquid Highlighter has a glass wand like packaging much like a concealer. The glass adds a touch of class but for someone like me, it may be an accident to happen. I really love the way the wand is larger to cover a larger surface area much like the Tarte Shape-Tape concealer.
Formula / Shade Range
The liquid formula is a lightweight oil blend that contains grapeseed and vitamin E OIL. I personally only have three of the shades that were in the collection that contains a total of seven shades. The shades I have, seem to be the best to flatter dark skin tones, Goddess Glow (a warm yellow tone); Gilded Glow (a cool tone pink); and Go With the Glow (a warm copper tone).
Color Payoff / Longevity
The larger wand of the highlighter makes for a very intense one swipe application. The shimmering pearl infused with the oils makes for a light blendable pigmented treatment to the skin. Since I have oily skin, and the humid weather in my area makes ake my makeup practically slip and slide on my face, but this highlighter stays put even on an 8hour workday.
Final Thoughts
At a price point of $5.99 for half an ounce of product not only is this a steal it is a shimmering piece of gold in a sea of overpriced gems. I genuinely like how the product applies and to the skin and the way it last all day. The easy it takes to blend into the skin is suitable even for the clumsiest beginner. Overall I think I would gladly recommend this product to anyone looking to venture into the world of liquid highlighters.
What is your opinion of liquid highlighters? Have you used them in your routine?
